Operation Straight Up at Fort Hood Scheduled for August 23rd & 24th, 2006

Home to over 165,000 Military Personnel
www.hood.army.mil

With spouses and children we will touch a community of over 400,000

The OSU Tour enhances quality of life by providing entertainment in the form of shows designed to touch the heart and soul of men and women where they need it the most, at home. We encourage commitment in marriages, quality in fatherhood, and covenant in relationships. We confront issues like divorce, drugs, and uncontrolled anger that are harmful to a quality life. We feel this produces stability in their family life and a greater peace within the families of all operatives. Our plan is not to tame the army down but to empower it in another dimension.

Live Entertainment at Leo Buckley Stadium – Killeen, Texas
Thursday night, August 24th, 6:30 p.m.

We’re planning an event that is sure to be the largest live entertainment show the city of Killeen, Texas has ever seen. Since Fort Hood is just outside the city, we chose to hold this event off the base because the city of Killeen is filled with soldiers and their families. It will also allow civilian community involvement. The Commanders and Chaplains have already been briefed and are excited to bring OSU Tour to Fort Hood to enrich the lives of their troops.

The event will be held at the largest football stadium in Killeen, the Leo Buckley Stadium, which is located directly behind Killeen High School. Stephen Baldwin will MC the show and the list of entertainers below will be performing at the event, among others. Rebecca St James will be performing a concert at the end of the show.

Entertainers and speakers already secured for this event include:

  1. #16 National Guard NASCAR
  2. Rafael Rondon – Professional Clown & Comedian
  3. Joel Scrivner – World Champion in Karate
  4. Keith Davis – NFL Star
  5. Tanya Crevier – Professional Basketball Handler
  6. David Pendleton – Nationally Renowned Ventriloquist
  7. Bruce Collie – NFL Superbowl Star
  8. Jonathan Spinks – Undefeated Boxing & Kickboxing Champion
  9. Stephen Baldwin – Hollywood Actor
  10. Rebecca St. James – Grammy Winning Musical Artist

We have extended an invitation to the government officials to give them a chance to say, “Thank You” to our troops. We’re in touch with the Dallas Mavericks business office in regards to an appearance from Avery Johnson, some of the current Mavericks players, as well as celebrities like World Heavyweight Champion George Foreman. The show continues to grow and is sure to be one the city of Killeen will never forget.

We expect the stadium to be filled to capacity with soldiers and their families. We will have cable TV spots, radio, billboards, military web sites, direct mailing, local businesses and local churches involved in the promotion of this event. We expect great press from the media as we support our troops. Officials at Fort Hood tell us the entire base population of soldiers will be deployed from September through November, right after this event. The show will encourage soldiers as they prepare to go off to war and help prepare families for the hard times ahead. May God go with them!

Our events are always free for soldiers and their families but we will be selling tickets to civilians in the Killeen area to help off-set the expenses for this event. Unfortunately, no matter how much we want to put on an incredible show for our troops, the fact is that it is very expensive to provide an event like this. The government is unable to provide any funds for these events. Please support your soldiers by purchasing tickets or making a donation so a military family can attend. Every ticket purchased or donation made will result in tickets donated to the soldiers at Fort Hood. We are still in pursuit of businesses that are willing to support our troops by making a tax-deductible financial contribution to OSU Tour, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. All military personnel should seek the Chaplain’s offices on base for tickets to this event. Everyone must have a ticket to attend the Live Entertainment show per stadium capacity limits. Purchasable tickets can be found online at the link below.
