When you think it’s the end, it’s really just
the beginning
Nathan Allen Spinks died on February 22, 2006 of brain cancer at 3
years old. Everyone that met him said he was the most spiritually unusual child
they had ever witnessed. There was an obvious strong presence within him. He
could recite the Lord’s prayer before he could even speak clearly. The battle
over his life was fierce as literally millions of prayers were prayed for his
healing from places as far away as China, Germany, Tanzania, and churches all
over the United States and the world. He may be gone from this earth but his
legacy lives on through OSU Tour. This very organization was formed and birthed
because of the relationships that happened because of Nathan’s cancer. Our very
first OSU Tour event was performed because of the exact relationships that were
brought about because of Nathan’s cancer situation. Many believe that OSU Tour
would never have happened if it were not for the severity of his situation
and the extreme suffering Nathan endured. His life proves, like many heroes in
our military, that sometimes people have to die so tha
t others may live. His
father, Jonathan Spinks is writing a book (soon to be released) regarding the
entire journey and addressing the question; What do you do when life doesn’t
turn out the way you expect it to? You can be sure that God’s plans are nothing
like our plans. Jonathan fully expected his first born son, Nathan, to stand on stage
with him during every show, for the rest of his life. Nathan has already changed the
lives of thousands, and today, seeks to change our world as we know it through OSU Tour. He will forever be known as “Nathan, whom God has healed.”

President / CEO
Jonathan Spinks is an over-achiever and sits in a unique position as a former professional athlete
and a successful Dallas business owner. Success comes as no surprise to those who know him well.
As a Dallas Texas businessman he made going the extra mile a standard, reliability his promise, and integrity his trademark. Jonathan spent 8 years as a Financial Planner representing Smith Barney, Templeton and American Funds where he specialized in retirement accounts prior to his entry into the mortgage & real-estate industry in 1995. Since then he has worked throughout the mortgage industry where he eventually started, and fully owned, a Bank Branch and operated as its Bank Branch President.
As a former professional athlete, Jonathan understands the importance of high-energy hard work, integrity, character building, and the value of a good team behind you. While fighting on a world class level, Jonathan beat the odds against all that challenged him and became a champion in boxing, kickboxing, and tough man contests. Jonathan began his boxing career as an amateur at age 13. He trained as an Olympic boxing team hopeful before turning pro. As a professional fighter, he acquired a kickboxing title by knocking out the 7th ranked contender in the world. During his
eight years as a professional fighter, he remained undefeated in over 20 fights before retirement. He achieved notoriety as "The Knock Out" artist by sending every single opponent he faced during his career to the mat.
His schedule is fully loaded year after year with speaking engagements in places ranging from corporate events, schools, churches, prisons, universities, to the NFL (National Football League). Jonathan speaks as many as 45 weekends a year. Aside from being a nationally known speaker and in spite of a grueling schedule, Jonathan is also very active in his church and strives to deliver excellence in every area of his life, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually as well as spending quality time with his wife and sons. For the past 18 years Jonathan has traveled all over the country in constant demand as a motivational speaker and evangelist. His schedule already includes events throughout 2008 in New York, Arizona, Chicago, Florida,
Ohio, Georgia, Colorado, California, Puerto Rico, throughout Texas and more.
His uniqueness appeals to a very wide range of audiences. To the Military
As a former professional athlete, he shares captivating stories of an unbelievable commitment, dedication, and deep understanding of what it takes to reach the top “in life” as well as the bottom that brings results of anger, addictions, divorce, and death. This deep understanding has been the result of lessons learned through failures that arise from a life out of balance as well as the consequences that come from wrong choices, bad friends, and a love for money. He learned at the age of 19 that all his possessions of Cadillac’s, houses, boats, motorcycles and accomplishments could not deliver what he was seeking.
To Military personnel heading into the business world
As a successful businessman who has experienced the pains it takes to get there, he possesses a profound knowledge and passion regarding Godly principles that can set people apart in the business world and in their communities. After retiring as an athlete, he went back to school to become a financial planner specializing in investments. While working at the investment firm, his company branched out into the mortgage industry. He then transitioned into the mortgage industry full time by starting his own company, a Residential Mortgage Bank. As bank branch president, he worked his "tent-making" secular job wile spending his "spare time" in ministry.
To Military Churched & Un-Churched
Rev. 12:11 “…they overcame by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony." All of the topics he deals with are powerful and personal testimonies to the churched as well as the un-churched."
He inspires his audiences with harrowing true life experiences. By a miracle of God, he survived a shotgun wound to the head without sustaining permanent injury. His athletic career was tragically and abruptly ended when he was involved in a motorcycle accident while racing through city streets at over 100 MPH. He explains how God used these events as a “wake up call” from the hard life of self indulgence. One miracle followed another as he lived a life on the edge and had many near death experiences.
Jonathan addresses many of the current-day issues that riddle our society - from divorce and anger, to addictions and physical abuse in our homes. As a child he grew up in a home with a “boot camp” atmosphere from a father that was a Marine. His home life experiences are one that speaks of how the behavior traits of fathers and mothers affect their children and how this in turn impacts the future of America.
With or without church affiliation, those he addresses are touched and lives are changed after hearing about his life experiences. His life and the miracles in it, erases all doubts that there is a God.
